Craig Issues Statement Following Release of School District Report Cards

Today, state Senator Hearcel F. Craig (D-Columbus) issued the following statement regarding the Ohio school district report cards that the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce released:

“We know there is still room for improvement within our schools,” said Senator Craig. “At the same time, Columbus City Schools is showing undeniable progress, particularly in workforce and college readiness and rising graduation rates. Gains in math achievement and the success of our widely esteemed career-technical programs make it clear the district is determined to build on this momentum and drive progress across every measure of student success.”

The report cards, which evaluate the progress of districts and schools across the state in their efforts to prepare students for the future, are released annually, providing a snapshot of student performance and school quality across the state.
