Timken Announces Grant Award To Pregnancy Support Network

COLUMBUS—State Senator Jane Timken (R-Jackson Township) announced that the Pregnancy Support Network has been awarded $1,491,000 for the support of children and expecting parents in Stark County.

"I am incredibly proud of Ohio for continuing to take steps to support our children and families," Senator Timken said. "This investment will help parents and children across Stark County be healthy and strong."

On August 8th, the Ohio Department of Children and Youth announced $20 million in grant awards to 21 nonprofit organizations across Ohio through the Ohio Parenting and Pregnancy Program. The Pregnancy Support Network has received $1,491,000 as part of these awards. Funding for these grants was included in the 2026-2027 biennium Operating Budget.

These organizations were chosen through a competitive application process and were chosen due to their ability to deliver prenatal education, parenting classes, case management, referrals, and material assistance tailored to the needs of their local communities.
