Koehler Applauds Grant Award to Support Mothers and Infants

COLUMBUS— State Senator Kyle Koehler (R-Springfield) applauds Choosing Hope Adoptions in Springfield on receiving a grant award through the Ohio Parenting and Pregnancy Program.
 
“I am grateful to see Choosing Hope Adoptions receive significant support to continue providing care for families looking to adopt,” said Senator Koehler. “Ensuring that parents and children receive care and guidance no matter their circumstance, allows families to thrive. I look forward to continue supporting community-based programs across Ohio that meet the needs of our most vulnerable population.”

The funding is part of $20 million in grants to 21 nonprofit organizations distributed through the Ohio Parenting and Pregnancy Program. Senator Koehler and the General Assembly allocated the funds in the recently passed operating budget. Through a competitive application process, the Department of Children and Youth (DCY) selected 21 grantees to deliver prenatal education, parenting classes, case management, referrals, and material assistance tailored to the needs of their local communities.
