Manchester Celebrates Boys Basketball State Champions

COLUMBUS—State Senator Susan Manchester (R-Waynesfield) celebrated the Russia High School Raiders boys basketball team in the Ohio Senate today for winning the 2025 OHSAA Division VII State Championship.

"This is an incredible group of student-athletes," said Senator Manchester. "Their story is one of perseverance, growth, and relentless determination. They’ve set a new standard for excellence, and have made the Russia community very proud."

Russia defeated Willoughby Cornerstone Christian Academy by a score of 74–57, claiming the school’s first-ever boys basketball state title and an undefeated season. The Raiders were led in their win by Head Coach Spencer Cordonnier.
