Gavarone Honors Anthony Wayne Baseball Champions

COLUMBUS—State Senator Theresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green) honored the Anthony Wayne High School Baseball team for winning the 2025 OHSAA Division II baseball State Championship.

“I could not be more proud of what these young men have accomplished," said Senator Gavarone. “Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the sport that they love is something all of Ohio can be proud of. I look forward to watching their continued success both on and off the field.”

The State Championship began with a three-hour delay, with the first pitch being throw at 10:11pm. The game ended at 12:25am as the Generals captured the state title by defeating the Amherst Steele Comets 7-3. This was the first state championship for the Anthony Wayne baseball team.
