Gavarone Proudly Supports Investments In Youth Health

COLUMBUS— State Senator Theresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green) is proudly supporting investments in youth health by the Ohio Department of Children and Youth.

“I was very proud to see the Department of Children and Youth invest in the children of the 2nd Senate district," said Senator Gavarone. “Our children are our future, and this investment will help ensure a better future."

The Department of Children and Youth invested a total of $20 million in grants to nonprofit organizations across the state through the Ohio Parenting and Pregnancy Program. Four of these nonprofits serve residents of the 2nd Senate district. These organizations include:

•    Compassion Health Toledo – $510,000
•    Baby University – $1,122,258
•    The Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio – $1,400,000
•    Bowling Green Pregnancy Center – $240,799

These organizations were chosen through a competitive application process and were chosen due to their ability to deliver prenatal education, parenting classes, case management, referrals, and material assistance tailored to the needs of their local communities.
